Students building an Apache wickiup at the Fort Apache Museum.

John F. Kennedy Day School summer school students built an Apache wickiup at the Fort Apache Museum in Fort Apache, Arizona, on Thursday, June 27, 2024. They enjoyed a presentation from the Land Restoration Project about the traditional home, the Apache wickiup. They also shared other important historical information with students. JFK ensures culturally relevant learning and links instruction to real-life activities.

Also, Mrs. Valerie Miller-Wilson, business manager at John F. Kennedy Day School, received a Certificate of Appreciation at the 2024 BIE Finance Summer Training held in Albuquerque, New Mexico, from June 11 to 14, 2024. JFK is proud to have received such a distinctive award for its business office. Thank you, Mrs. Miller-Wilson, for your hard work and dedication!
